Into the Minds of Paranormal Investigators: How they Work

When looking at paranormal investigators (PI’s), one usually sees them with various tools and equipment: EMF detectors, temperature sensors, static electricity and ionization detectors, and significant paranormal research software. Some say they’re keen, serious, and weird. Others might ask: what lurks inside the minds of these investigators that they deal with such bizarre paranormal cases? Paranormal analysts look just like ordinary people in many ways; they have family, jobs, concerns, etc. What makes them different from others is their interest in cracking those peculiar phenomena that some people experience, especially about ghosts. The list below tells about the key points they consider during investigations. 1.The Focus The focus of all paranormal investigators is to help people who have experienced several disturbing paranormal events in their lives. While doing investigations, the following things will always be in their mind: 2. The Expectations Expect the unexpected. This is what a PI always considers while conducting the quest. Dealing with several ghosts and spirits is unpredictable. Expecting the worst is what they think to condition their mind for whatever happens, and whatever they’ll find out. They’re brave enough to face ghosts and spirits. 3. The Philosophy These one-of-a-kind investigators have certain philosophies, which keeps them in this extraordinary job. They strongly believe that: Definitely, paranormal investigators are serious. They take cases seriously and do not stop until they get necessary information for their research. All of these are taken into consideration to make the whole investigation successful, so that everyone will be at peace. Webb Paranormal Group are professional paranormal investigators who will take your case seriously. Give them a call today for help.

Memorial Day Celebrations on the USS Battleship North Carolina

#Memorial Day is the day set aside once a year in which we celebrate and give thanks to the United States Military. We remember those who gave their lives so that we could live a better one. Memorial Day is this Monday, May 27, 2019, and the USS Battleship North Carolina will be celebrating the holiday. Aboard the #Battleship #North Carolina, Memorial Day celebrations begin with a military guest speaker, and are followed by (not particularly in this order) a 21-gun salute by the Marine Corps Honor Guard, an all-service Color Guard, the playing of Taps by a military band, and finally by tossing a memorial wreath into the water. The town of #Wilmington has something special to share this Memorial Day. Along the slew of the #Cape Fear River, is a very regal and distinguished item—the USS Battleship North Carolina. The people of Wilmington invite guests of the town to visit this wondrous battleship and walk its decks. You can imagine the days when the crew aboard it went about their daily lives and came across fierce battles in the Pacific Theatre during the #World War The young men aboard the #USS North Carolina were raised during the Great Depression; they were unwavering in their desire to serve this country during a most needy time. It is these men, now much older, who will share their stories, old photographs, and memoirs with you. You will also be able to browse along the decks and check out the many exhibits aboard this mighty battleship. This Memorial Day you can take a step back and relive the days of the USS North Carolina. You can try to picture yourself navigating the waters, starting up the engines and even firing off the guns. On June 15, 2019, Webb Paranormal Group is going to perform an investigation of the USS North Carolina to learn more about the past people and events that occurred on the ship.

Discrepancies of the Evidence at Pauly Jail

Bullock County Jail aka #Pauly Jail in #Union Springs, AL What mystery involves previous the inmates of the infamous Pauly Jail aka Bullock County Jail Museum in Union Springs, #Alabama? Do they linger on there? Discrepancies of the Evidence With two inmates that are rumored to have been executed in the jail, I would like to offer something for the reader to think about when reading over the evidence that is presented by others in their investigations of the old jailhouse. “One of the oldest surviving jails in the state, the Pauly Jail, was erected in 1897 and used, as a film set in 2004, is a three-story red brick structure.” http://www.unionspringsalabama.com/Pauly-Jail.html #Pauline McCoy Many have reported seeing or finding evidence of a Pauline McCoy at Pauly Jail. Pauline was convicted of the murder of a young woman of 14 years old and accused of doing this over a coat. How can this be when she was hung in 1888, which is 9 years before the erection of Pauly Jail? This is my source: The Daily Picayune, October 13, 1888 (page 3) The Daily Picayune had supplied a scanty few additional details from Pauline’s supposed jailhouse confession a few weeks before (September 5, 1888) Also, you will find this statement on the website for Union Springs: “The Bullock County Jail of 1897 replaced the jail of 1868, which stood on West Hardaway Street” http://www.unionspringsalabama.com/Pauly-Jail.html #Aberdeen Johnson Aberdeen Johnson is another of the inmates of Pauly Jail that met his death but was it at the jail or somewhere else? He is also said to use the name Walker too. #Webb Paranormal Group has some doubt after being at the jail for the last two seasons searching for evidence and many trips to the libraries. Let’s look at the discrepancies of the evidence below. Read this Excerpt: A shot rang out as the mob marched along half a mile south of town and it was found that a young man has wounded the #negro in the right hip with a double-barrel derringer. He managed, however, to keep moving and was marched on for over two miles. A halt was made at the railroad track and a discussion had as to whether to take the black criminal on to the scene of his crime, where the object of his lust could see him, or whether to hang him at once.  The negro was getting weak from the wound and there was a rumor that soldiers were on a special train sent out from Montgomery, so it was decided to hang him to a tree on the outside of the road. A dozen men took Johnson to the tree. Then an old man, probably 65 years old, climbed the tree and hauled away on the rope which was soon made fast. The order was given for everyone who wished to take a shot at the negro to line up and when the old man got out of the tree probably 150 shots were fired into his body. As far as can be learned the negro did not confess.  http://www.newspaperabstracts.com/link.php?action=detail&id=86347 This newspaper article states he was marched “along half a mile south of town” One mile is 5280 feet divided by half is 2640 feet. I have marked a black line on this map from Pauly Jail to an area a half mile south of the Pauly Jail which is way past the train tracks area that was removed. You will see it is way past the City Cemetery, which is where the red arrow is pointing too. I do not see how he was hanged in the cemetery. He is not even buried in this cemetery either. He is buried in Beat 3. I am not sure where it is but it is not in the old City Cemetery just a few feet over from Pauly Jail. There have been many tales over the years of the happenings at the infamous Pauly Jail. It is our duty to search for the truth and report the evidence that we each find ourselves. We do not rely on the rumors of others. Webb Paranormal Group seeks to go beyond just listening to rumors by performing in-depth research using many techniques. Good research is just the beginning of dispelling such Discrepancies of the Evidence.

“What Exactly Does Webb Paranormal Group Do During A Paranormal Investigation?”

“What happens during a paranormal investigation?” “What exactly do you do?” #Webb Paranormal Group gets asked on many occasions. There are many groups of people who investigate the #paranormal, and each of them do things their own way. Here is a glimpse into the way of Webb Paranormal Group and what happens during our #paranormal investigation. Our paranormal #investigation begins when a #client calls our number to discuss Webb Paranormal Group investigating their property. During this time, one of our Co-founders listens to the issues the client is having and an initial #interview is set up. Each interview varies depending on the claims.  The co-founders listen to establish where to begin the investigation and to take notice of where to place our cameras. Usually, during this interview process, a #release form is signed by everyone stating whether the client allows, or does not allow, their photograph to be published in our posts, blogs, etc. This is completely OK with Webb Paranormal Group! We don’t do this for publicity or money, but only to help those in need. The co-founder of the group then brings all the information gathered to the members. This is the time when the co-founder lets the group know what we have coming up. The group will discuss times we are free and able to go to the location. We value punctuality, as do our clients. Beginning on time makes the whole investigation go smoothly, as we are not in a rush and there are no frazzled nerves or aggravation. Now to begin! We get inside, do a final shorter interview with the whole group there to see if anything new has happened. Then we are ready to begin. We start by breaking out the cameras, running cords, and hooking them to our monitors to watch them live. The initial #setup time, final interview included, takes about an hour. After that is all done, we begin using our #tools with the #EVP recorder. This helps to hear what #Spirit is telling us when we play it back, and it usually sounds like a whisper so upon review we have to pay extra careful attention to make sure we don’t miss anything. We also have other tools, and one of them is a KII meter. Photo Credit to Teresa Fikes The investigators then wrap up all of our equipment, sure to leave no mess behind.  After the investigation, the client and Co-founders go over the evidence collected and discuss whether to cleanse the property.

Haunted Pauly Jail in Union Springs, Bullock County, Alabama

Haunted Pauly Jail in Union Springs Pauly Jail is one of the oldest established correctional facilities in the state of #Alabama, the #Bullock County Jail, was erected in 1897. It was utilized as a film set in 2004.  Gothic Victorian Architecture The three-story red brick Victorian Gothic style of building is almost square in its design plan. Cement covers the foundation and the lower courses of the brick. The finished wall with rough masonry stone lintels located over the door and windows give the building a castle-like facade featuring four small projecting square brick turrets with witch’s hats (spiked metal caps) at the corners. The building has a metal-hipped roof. A single door is the entrance on the ground level which leads to the women’s area and the jailer’s office. Also you will find what is left of a kitchen that was add later to the old jail so the inmates could have hot meals. On the second floor is the bullpen, where the inmates shared a metal table and benches that served as their eating quarters. To the right of the table was a commode and an open shower for bathing. On the third level, a trap door is set in the floor. The door, which could be opened by pushing a lever, could have been used for hanging condemned prisoners in the early 1900s. It sits behind the 1871 Second Empire Style Bullock County Courthouse, adjacent to a beautiful landscaped park and gazebo. In 2000, a restoration of the jail was undertaken but funds soon ran out before it was completed. Pauly Jail Building Company, Inc. The #Pauly Jail Building and Manufacturing Company was founded in 1856 by Mr. P. J. Pauly, a German-American born in 1832. The company was incorporated in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1885 and is the predecessor of the corporation as it presently exists. The company was the first to succeed after discovering the advantages of steel jail construction. #Pauly Jail in Union Springs http://www.unionspringsalabama.com/Pauly-Jail.html Watch this video to learn more about our Pauly Jail in #Union Springs in Bullock County, Alabama investigation that took place in November of 2016. Investigation of the Dancing Ghost “Grancer” Harrison

On Saturday, October 22, 2016, Webb Paranormal Group assisted another local paranormal group, Rip Investigations, in researching and investigating the rumors told over the last 200 years about the Dancing Ghost of William “Grancer or Grand Sir” Harrison in the Harrison Cemetery in Kinston, Alabama. The cemetery is located in Kinston, AL on what was once the old home place of William Harrison who was affectionally called respectfully “Grand Sir”. Mr. Harrison was a prominent businessman and cotton farmer/planter in the early 1800s. He was married to Nancy Justice Harrison who lies next to him in the cemetery. The Harrison’s had ten children. Grancer Harrison was well known in the Kinston area for his horse races, Barbeques, and dances in a Dance Hall he had built primarily for his plantation. When he realized that his time was near to end, he began planning for his burial. His last wishes before he died was for his family to bury him dressed in his dancing clothes, clogging shoes, his fiddle in his hand while lying on his feather bed. He also wanted the dance parties to go on after he had departed this world. His tomb was to be located within earshot of his dance hall. Rumor has it that on a Saturday night during the midnight hour people can still hear the fiddle playing and a deep male voice call the dance out. Some have even reported to seeing the ghostly figure dancing and hearing the tapping of his shoes as he dances along. Another rumor was that he had slaves bury pots of gold near the dance hall or the grave. Vandals have tried and tried to find this but only succeeded in finding empty pots. One occasion the vandals blew up the tomb scattering Grancer Harrison’s bone fragments. Now are you wondering what the two paranormal research groups found? Some very interesting events happened while we were there. Around midnight, we decided to play some Scottish Fiddle music. What happened next was astounding. The K2 meters owned by both groups went off to the beat of the music. Then our cameraman, Chris Woods, noticed a strange light bouncing back and forth along the tomb itself. The cameraperson for RIP Investigations also moved in to get a clear shot of this phenomenon. There was an orb caught jumping from the side of the tomb too. When the music stopped then, the light stopped, when we changed the music to something slow the light slowed down, and when the music was fast, the light speeded up. Watch the video to judge for yourself. Is this the Ghost of William “Grancer/ Grand Sir” Harrison dancing to the fiddle music he loved so much?
